You're All I Have Lyrics

I wake up in the afternoon
Empty walls make up the room
And I'm wishing for one thing
To give myself the strength to keep myself aliveLong enough to make sure you don't try
To turn out anything like me
Another fraud, another fakeDon't pretend you're not the one who's wrong
You're keeping me sane when I'm feeling alone
I wield my heart and my flesh and bones
Don't leave me to die by myself, I can't live without youSaw my treatment through the blinds
Calling me from these confines
There's only so many more days
Until you're cast away from ever seeing meThey won't understand, they'll never see
The way you medicate my head
Without you here, I'm left for deadDon't pretend you're not the one who's wrong
You're keeping me sane when I'm feeling alone
I wield my heart and my flesh and bones
Don't leave me to die by myself, I can't live without you
Without you hereYou're all I have

In a world that judges long before it sees
You're all I have
In a place that hates me and only wants toPush me down, now I'm forsaken
Past the point, you'll bend and break me
I won't be fine, you're all mistaken
Don't pretend you're not the one who's wrongDon't you pretend it's gonna be okay
Don't lie and say it's better off this way
Don't pretend you're not the one who's wrongDon't pretend
You're keeping me sane when I'm feeling alone
I wield my heart and my flesh and bone
Don't leave me to die by myself, I can't live without you here
Without you hereYou're not the one who's wrong
You're keeping me sane when I'm feeling alone
You're not the one who's wrong
Don't leave me to die when I'm feeling alone
I can't live without youDon't pretend you're not the one who's wrong

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
