You're Still Here Lyrics

It'll be twelve months to the day in an hour since you left me
Eleven months three weeks since I left town
First stop was tendin' bar down in Baton Rouge
Thinkin' I could get away from you
But you were on my mind every time I turned aroundSo then I went to Austin, Texas
Then Phoenix, then I flew outta L A X
Lord I can't believe it's been a year
I keep leavin' but you're still hereTouched down in Seattle waited tables in a coffee shop
I tried my hand down in Reno dealin' cards
Took a bus to try my luck on the East Coast
Spent a week with my blues in Chicago
But everywhere I went you were in my heartI almost thought I lost you in D.C.
But in Boston your memory caught up with me
For every mile I've cried a million tears
I keep leavin' but you're still hereSo if you're wonderin' why I'm standing on your doorstep
It's lcause you never left
I'm here to ask you for another chance
'Cause baby I just can't forgetThe way you used to hold me and show me

You loved me like you'd never ever let go of me
For me that feelin' never disappeared
I keep leavin' but you're still here
I can't keep leavin' 'cause you're still here

Since their debut, there has been a sea of female vocal groups, but none with the unique sound of the Kinleys. As twin sisters, Jennifer and Heather possess an innate sense of harmony, and their vocals have never sounded better than on their latest release, All In The Family. The sisters first attracted attention with their debut Just Between You and Me. Their first single, "Please," was an impassioned plea and remains the highest debuting single by a female duo in country music history, while the album's title track was a top ten smash.
