You've Got Your Reasons Lyrics

You've got your reasons
And like the seasons they change
Talking of pleasure
While enjoying the painAnd though it keeps you in the light
And all the words are said just right
There's still a cry in the night, oh yesSo we climbed every mountain
Through the snow covered hills
Taken for granted
You can get all your fillAnd if I seem to look away
And turn the pages of the play
There are these things I have to say, oh yesI'm a springtime boy
And I look for the joy
Of a world in bloom
And could it come never too soon, oh noAnd while the world is turning
And the sun is burning
Do you think in my yearning
That the journey is through?
I can't leave it up to youAnd though it keeps you in the light

And all the words are said just right
There's still a cry in the night
Oh, there's still a cry in the night, yeah, yeah

Poco, founded in 1968 by Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Richie Furay and Jim Messina (both inducted 1997 with Buffalo Springfield), was one of the earliest in the "country rock" genre that was later commercially popularized by bands such as the Eagles. The band was completed by Rusty Young (pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo and mandolin) Randy Meisner on bass and George Grantham on drums. Poco's 1969 debut, "Pickin' Up the Pieces" (the title being a reference to the break-up of Buffalo Springfield), received some critical acclaim but generated very litttle enthusiasm commercially.
