Shaun "Controversy" Terry was born in Tallahassee, FL in 1982. From there, his family moved from place to place in Texas, finally resting in Killeen, Tx, a military town about an hour north of Austin. During his childhood he concentrated much of his time on singing, learning basic piano skills, and dancing, as both his parents danced. He joined the choir and band in school and learned how to play saxophone and developed a strong ear for music. He would go on to be a two-time Texas All-State Choir member and would recognize music as something he wanted to be a part in for the rest of his life.
