Written by Mark Oliver Everett (a.k.a. Mr. E) My Beloved Monster is a track recorded on the first studio album of the band eels. Though it was never released as a single it did gain popularity on the soundtrack to DreamWork’s Shrek. It is the fourth track on the Beautiful Freak album (1996) and runs to three minutes and thirty four seconds.
