The name Kinoflux roughly translates into “moving pictures.” As a band, Kinoflux creates music that is meant to stimulate more than the ear. Formed in 2001, by original members Jesse Harrell (vocals and guitar), Matt McKenzie (guitar), John McNaughton (bass and vocals), and Troy Piper (drums and vocals) Kinoflux began assembling songs and performing at many local venues in the Birmingham area.
