Jake Newton is an American Songwriter Based in Los Angeles, born to ministers, then shuffled around the country with the frequency of an army rat, Newton's Family ended up settling in the mountains near Yosemite National Park. It was there that Newton discovered the guitar and began to write with the naive sadness tinged with hope that permeates his music. Newton has two EP's, "I'm a Bird" (2007), and "Soldier of the Heart"(2009), and is currently in production for a full length to be released in the fall/winter of 2010.
