Vicky Stuart is only eighteen, her voice is much older; it resonates with the oral tradition of English Folk music and Scottish Balladry, arching between Sandy Denny and Kate Bush, before gracefully touching down in 21st century Northamptonshire. Sat between sound-checks, she speaks with a charmingly soft burr laced with girly giggles, which after a glass of Cider or two become hearty exclamations.
