Songs about snakes from Danny and Annie of The Soviettes. Danny plays the drums, Annie plays the bass guitar and the duo shares singing duties. Instrumentally, the band plays a garage-flavored high tempo rock that borders on lo-fi dance punk. Released in 2006, their debut album, Venom runs like one long musical gag to insert the words "Awesome," "Snakes" and "Jerk" as much as possible. This is all, of course, done deliberately with self-aware, winking stupidity.

The album also features an appearance from P.O.S., member of Minneapolis hip-hop collective, Doomtree.
