Insectoid! are an experimental audio collective formed in Birmingham, UK in 2006. They perform in home-made insect masks and their sound attempts to suggest the drone of the hive mind. Their performances are improvised through non-verbal communication, and sometimes incorporate electronic devices such as accelerometers or infra-red sensors as means of triggering or "scrubbing" sound files. http://aasgroup.net/trojangoat/insectoid/
