The poo poodles formed in Chicago in mid-1996, after hearing Mike Watt berate an unappreciative audience member with the suggestion that he start their own band, the poo poodles did just that and began laying down the beats. The band, BP (vocals) and P (guitar, drums, mharmonica, robot beats, precussion, sfx, vocals), quickly established a spontaneous and often inept sound, "being in tune isn't what we are about," P states, "in the time it takes to tune a guitar we can write and record two new songs."
