This song was written by Ned Washington and Leigh Harline for the 1940 Disney movie Pinocchio. The original version was sung by Cliff Edwards in the character of Jimminy Cricket. The American Film Institute ranks tne song seventh in their 100 Greatest Songs in film history. The song has become an icon of The Disney Company and used to accompany the Disney opening logo for movies and tv shows.
