Richard Thompson And Danny Thompson
Two giants of British folk-rock, and also long-time collaborators produced one album together per se, aside from frequenting each other's albums. 1997's "Industry" is a concept album looking at the British industrial revolution and how it's evolved into modern times. With Richard's sometime hard-rock, sometime ballady guitar put aside from more jazz-based sounds, Danny's double bass takes more of a lead. Danny's own background as a jazz player and label owner lays a solid foundation for the record's jazzy feel and rich instrumentation.
The album was not intended to be a big seller, merely an interesting diversion and historical music journey. It achieved high praise from fans and critics, although there are few live requests for its songs. Read more on Last.fm.
