There are two DJ Slips 1) DJ Slip (Troy Geary) got started in techno in the early 1990s in Minneapolis. After getting his feet thoroughly wet in the industry, he moved to New York where he continued to make his mark with his rhythmic grooves and unique tones. Eventually DJ Slip landed in Portland where he continues to work the beats. 2) DJ Slip (Terry Allen), son of sound equipment provider, Richard Allen, a solo artist and producer active since the late 80s, and also a member of Compton's Most Wanted.
