There are at least four artists known as Senators: 1) An American hip-hop duo. 2) An obscure doo wop/rock n roll/r&b group from the late 50s/early 60s. 3) A short-lived experimental christian screamo band from Kansas City, MO. 4) A ska band. The Southern California hip-hop group was formed in early 2012, consisting of the MCs Lish and Smevz. Inspired by rappers ranging from the Beastie Boys and Wu-Tang Clan to Busta Rhymes and Tech N9ne, Senators have an energy all their own, combining the best elements of both the old and new schools of hip-hop.
