Su primer álbum, a editar el 16 de abril, está entre lo más esperado de 2007. En sus inicios en solitario a JONSTON se le calificó como "un bardo pop con aristas", y la definición sigue siendo apropiada. La música de JONSTON es melódica y perfectamente estructurada, a la manera de los cantautores del pop más exquisito, pero su manera de atacar esas composiciones es despeinada, directa y sin complejos, producto de una querencia rockera que no necesita ni desea disimular.
