Ketenaran The Rollies mulai runtuh. Tiga di antara personelnya terlibat penggunaan psikotropika. Kemudian Deddy Stanzah memilih mundur dari The Rollies dan Iwan Krisnawan meninggal dunia pada tahun 1974. Posisi vokalis hanya tinggal Gito sendiri. Namun, The Rollies yang sedang banyak mengalami cobaan akhirnya bisa memulihkan diri. Direkrutlah Oetje F Tekol (bass) dan Jimmie Manoppo (drum) yang menjadikan The Rollies seolah memiliki energi baru.
