Leroy Washington (March 1, 1932, Palmetto, Louisiana - June 29, 1966, Oakdale, Louisiana ) was a blues and rhythm & blues singer and guitarist. Leroy Washington lived in Opelousas, Louisiana, for most of his short life. Washington's first Excello release (2144), the self-composed "Wild Cherry"and "Everyday" (on the Zynn label) was
