Since 1996 Mike Downey has been releasing his pop-sensible musics with the bands Wolfie (Parasol/Kindercore), Mathlete (Blackbean and Placenta) and The National Splits (Blackbean and Placenta/Kittridge). In early 2005 he freed himself from all monikers, began playing under his own name and uprooted himself from his Chicago home and landed in Stockholm, where he currently resides. One part lone wolf croon plus one part drag, drop cut and paste adds up to Mike’s musical focus in recent years and into the future.
