Winner of the 1994 Kathleen Ferrier Award, Susan Gritton is one of the most versatile and accomplished lyric sopranos of her generation, acclaimed for her verstility in roles ranging from Handel and Mozart to Britten, Janacek and Strauss.This season her engagements on the opera stage include her debut at La Scala, Milan as Ellen Orford Peter Grimes; her debut at the Netherlands Opera as Elettra Idomeneo and a return to the Bolshoi as Donna Anna Don Giovanni.
