Formed originally as a Five-piece Punk rock band, Autem served as an allegory for the evolution of man. The original inception featured a current member of the Black Halos, whose gothic sound couldn’t be further from that of the final product of Autem. Finally pairing down to a three piece, the members found their niche as an instrumental-math rocky-progressive-melodic-ear candy confectionary. Each member, Tom Ulm on guitar, Mack Gordon on bass, and Chaad Gramlich on drums, has gone on to continue their adventurous explorations into the jaws of the beast known as music.
