Formed in 2008, Runmanila was your typical fresh-from-high-school band composed of typical overly-enthusiastic rocker kids. The band is based in Metro Manila and started off covering both rock and R&B hits, wowing audiences with their rock rendition of Forever (Chris Brown) and the like. In its first year, the group developed its own identity and sound, combining power pop with electro. For Runmanila, rock meets dance and head banging meets butt shaking.

Keeping in mind that you, the listener, are tired of cliché guitar progressions and simple beats, the band strives to bring in the new sound: dance grooves, rock moves, synthesizers, drum machines and gate effects, all of these (and more) are part of Runmanila's arsenal, and they're not afraid to use them.
