Big Marty, the pioneer of Murd (backwards 'drum') and Bass, has been self-releasing material with his own label 'Tuff Stuff Huffy Records' since around 2004. He performs live with just his ipod with prerecorded 'murd' as a backing track with a bass guitar and 'rapman' keyboard. He is known for his humorous lyrics and tours of teenagers bedrooms. His live performances are relatively stripped back in comparison with his more recent ambitious studio recordings, which have been produced with the help of Laurence George Irvine.
