22 year old Texas native Ciera Kensington has been surrounded by music throughout her life, but she didn't decide to turn it into a career until just recently.
After one year at Dallas Baptist University as a Christian Studies major concentrating in Music Ministry, Ciera Kensington made the decision to move to Nashville to pursue a music career instead of returning for another year at college.
"It just made more sense to be immersed in the music instead of sitting in a classroom learning about it" said Kensington.
Before making the move, Ciera Kensington spent a year writing, honing her sound, and putting out her first EP.
"I chose 'Storybook' as the title for reason. The songs from that first EP are what helped me begin to find my sound. They were the beginning of my story. My sound is continually evolving, but everything began with those four songs."
Now living in the Nashville/Franklin, TN area, Ciera Kensington is working on her first full length album (a sampler was released in February 2013) while playing shows around the area.
