Chinup is an indie pop band from Amsterdam. It's basically four sensitive but happy guys and one tough girl making music with simple melodies, positive energy and some melancholy. It all began in the late nineties as a solo hometaping project, producing hundreds of songs of love and hate and everything in between. Chinup the man released tapes in a circulation of one for his girlfriend. Almost ten years later he met the four other guys of the band at an acoustic J Mascis show. They found out they were on the same wavelenght and Chinup the band was born.
