False Haruspex was formed earlier in this millennium by bassist/multi-instrumentalist Gregory Straathof and drummer/flautist David Lamden. Both are former members of "Stan", the prog-rock power trio featuring guitarist Kris Madelung. False Haruspex played a handful of shows as a bass/drums duo, but often utilized other instruments (guitar, accordion, synths, hand percussion, etc.) on their recordings.
