Devil's Coachwhip is an old name for ocotillo, a plant that grows in the desert and looks dead all the time but it's not and in the summer when it rains it grows leaves and red flowers and it's really cool. Devil's Coachwhip is Nick Berger playing sad or mad songs on a banjo or an accordion or a guitar or something.
