Sarofeen And Smoke
Sarofeen and Smoke hailed from Auburn, New York and got together in 1968. Their one and only album together, "Do It" was released in 1971 on the GWP label with Pye releasing it in Europe.
Anne Sarofeen was the main attraction, a gutsy singer with a bluesy voice not unlike Janis Joplin. Smoke consisted of Jim Watts on drums, Ed Shanahan on lead guitar, Dave Arliss on electric bass with John Martin on harmonica, guitar and keyboards.
