In the summer of 2010, a six-member cover band falls apart, and from the smoking ruins a new band is formed by drummer Geert, bass player Jan and guitarist Vincent. They call the band ZOOM, which is the predecessor of Breekpunt. From scratch, the gentlemen start writing frantically and a few weeks later there are 10 fresh compositions, ranging from solid rock to introspective ballads. The texts are initially mixed Dutch and English, but after their first appearance in The Rambler in Eindhoven, in January 2011, it was decided to sing in Dutch solely. Drummer Geert leaves the band in early 2012 and two months later, Jordi is found as the new drummer. The EP 'The Moment' is finalized and the band name is changed to Breekpunt. The band's setlist consists at present of 19 songs and plays regularly in Eindhoven and surroundings.
