1. Alonzo Mario Stevenson (born September 3, 1981 in Los Angeles, California), better known by his stage name Novel, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper and producer signed to Capitol Records. Novel has collaborated with artists such as Lauryn Hill, Talib Kweli, Robin Thicke and Alicia Keys, and had plans to release his debut album The Word in 2002, but it was cancelled. Since then he has released his debut EP I Am... (Future Black President), three mixtapes, a collaboration mixtape with Joell Ortiz, and is now set to release his debut LP Audiobiography sometime in 2011.
