The Lightbox Orchestra is an ever-changing large ensemble led by Fred lonberg-Holm that improvises freely under the limitations of the 'lightbox'. Lonberg-Holm (or in some cases one of his band members) controls a not-terribly-sophisticated apparatus with colored bulbs that light up and sometimes a collection of large cue cards that give directions to the many improvising musicians.
