John Williams & Boston Pops Orchestra
The Boston Pops Orchestra was founded in 1885 as a subsection of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO), founded four years earlier. John Williams served as the principal conductor from 1980 to 1993, and is now the orchestra's laureate conductor.
