Melo-M
Melo-M (which stands for “Melomania”) is a cello rock trio from Rīga, Latvia. The band was formed in 2005 by Kārlis Auzāns - a member of rock band Autobuss Debesīs. Melo-M was formed with an idea to play somewhat forgotten Latvian pop and rock hits in a classic crossover arrangements, which basically means playing every instrument’s part with a cello.
The band consists of Kārlis Auzāns, Valters Pūce and Antons Trocjuks. Percussions are sometimes provided by Vilnis Krieviņš. Their highest achievements are a self-titled album and playing together with cello rockers from Apocalyptica.
