Ceto (pronounced /Keto/) is a metalcore band from Drøbak, Norway that plays American influenced metal. The name is derived from the name "Cetus", which refers to a sea monster in Greek mythology. Ceto was created the summer of 2003 when Guitarist Andre Hess-Bolstad and Martin Myrseth started playing together. They both came from different bands. They tried out different band members before settling with the current line-up. They released a self-titled demo in 2006, and continued playing shows around the county. After hitting every venue in the area they went back to their studio and recorded what became their 2nd EP “Urban Apocalypse”
Currently it consists of five members: Henrik Johnsen (vocals), André Hess-Bolstad (guitars), Martin Myrseth (guitars), Joakim Lie (bass) and Anders Bakken (drums).
