Born Tamika Myers, Washington, District of Columbia, USA. This singer-songwriter began singing at the age of 4 in the church choir. She was the lead vocalist in her high school jazz band before joining Signature, an all girl band, in her late teens. Singing a mixture of gospel, rhythm and blues, and hip hop, Signature opened for the Whispers at the Carter Baron; Joii Foxx at the Black Family Reunion on the National Mall.
