Robin Daggers is the new stage name of Robin Sparkles, a fictional character original named Robin Scherbatsky, created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas for the CBS television series How I Met Your Mother, portrayed by Canadian actress Cobie Smulders. After "Sandcastles In The Sand" was considered a commercial flop, in 1996, Robin became obsessed with Paul Shaffer. She filled up her journals about him, and eventually got a restraining order. This also reflected on Robin Sparkles.
