When Amanda moved South Florida to attend college, she got hooked on house music at local clubs in South Beach and downtown Miami. She spent the next few years getting deeper into the scene and discovering new artists and DJs. In the summer of 2006, she took a trip to Ibiza, where she was inspired to take the plunge into learning to mix. After a few months of researching the skills of being a DJ and asking a lot of questions to local DJs, she bought her first decks and started mixing. With the help of online tutorials, she was able to start with a great base of technical skills.
