Conscious Plat is a singer, writer and poet from the Midwest. Her songs have been featured on numerous documentaries, online radio shows, FM stations as well as various sites online. Although many of her songs and poems are geared towards promoting Black Unity she also expresses compassion for humanity with songs such as The Homeless Song. This song sheds light on the growing homeless epidemic as well as her song Love Shouldn't Hurt which speaks about domestic violence. Recently her poem titled My Sistah which is accompanied by a video has been shared and watched by many online. The poem is said to be quite an emotional piece. On her self written Bio from her website she states that many People have expressed gratitude for the inspirational messages in her music. She also states that her influences are her Ancestors.
