Alex Wiska (* 12. November 1950 in Dattenfeld; † 3. März 2011 in Siegburg) was a German musician, his style was called turkish rock. He founded Alex Oriental Experience (AOE) 1980 in Cologne, the band existed till his death in 2011 with a three-year break from 2006 to 2009. Especially his first two records with members of Can (Holger Czukay / bass, electronics, Jaki Liebezeit / drums and Irmin Schmidt / keyboards) are in a typical Turkish rock style. His later work was more rock-oriented with less Turkish influence based on the sound of his electrified saz as the main instrument.
