Chac Mool

Chac Mool was a progressive rock band from Mexico City, Mexico, formed in 1979 and dissolved in 1985.
The appearance of Chac Mool on stage coincides with the beginning of the decade of the Mexican rock boom. One of the main characteristics of the group, whose leaders were Jorge Reyes and Armando Suarez, was the creation of atmosphere through deep lyrics that forced the hearing to move to a fantasy world.
Chac Mool's instrumentation included several elements such as the cello, mandolin, drums, synthesizers, Mellotron, flute and pre-Hispanic instruments, creating a very unique style, all thanks to the creativity of the members of the band.
