Tariq L. started his career as a producer, in the late 90’s remixing De La Soul’s “The Stakes is High”. Later he formed a group called “The Hemisphere” they dropped their debut lp entitled “Performing Artz” and received notable reconition in The Source magazine unsigned indie section, The source mag claims the song “Ghetto Hallz” stood out, funny thing about that is Akon was featured on that track. Appearing on the Lyricist Lounge tour and project gave the group a worldwide buzz. The Hemisphere landed a deal with Subverse Music/Caroline(EMI) sharring the roster with MF Doom at that time.
