ICONOCLASTA representa la mejor exposición del progresivo sinfónico en México. El nombre surge del significado: Que no respeta tradiciones; destructor de imágenes; contra lo establecido, cuando hacer progresivo en México era eso: romper con toda estructura establecida en el País. Ricardo MORENO: Desde antes de 1980, Ricardo ORTEGÓN (guitarra) y yo tocábamos hard rock y música pesada de esos tiempos en un grupo que ya se llamaba ICONOCLASTA, y en un principio, estas tendencias musicales eran nuestras principales influencias.
