Mahavira are a UK based Alternative rock band. Their endless sea of melodies infused with a blend of eastern and western rhythms has drawn critical acclaim by both fans and the industry. In June 2008 demos of their tracks, “Mourning Star”, “Warhorse” and an Acoustic version of “22” were added to the playlist on the BBC Asian Network’s Friction show, which lead them to being featured as Friction’s artist of the week as well as being interviewed by Bobby Friction himself. “Love it, love it, love it” – Bobby Friction
