There are two artists who have used the name Durian: [1] - Durian grabs dub music by the hand and swings it into psyschadelia and funk. Durian was formed in Hangzhou at the China Academy of Art in 2012, by vocalistDaniel Sebastian, guiatrist Willem Vanommeslaeghe, and drummer Adam Brillhart. Presently, the band consists of members from Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Malawi, and the United States. Durian has performed in the midst of the rising wave of Chinese experimental music at festivals throughout China, with bands such as Carsick Cars, Philco Fiction, and Shan Ren （山人乐队）.
