Née en 1914, Lina Margy (de son vrai nom Marguerite Verdier) est surtout célèbre pour avoir interprété deux chansons qui font encore aujourd'hui honneur à la chanson francophone: "Ah le petit vin blanc (1943)" et "Voulez-vous danser grand-mère (1947)". A l'image d'Edith Piaf, Lina Margy aime rouler les "r"; ce qui donne un certain charme à ses chansons. D'autres succès suivent: "L'hirondelle du faubourg", "Le retour des cygnes" ou bien encore "Tu m'apprendras".
