Desert City Soundtrack
Formed in Portland, OR in the late 1990's, Desert City Soundtrack played a detached style of indie rock that was similar to Built to Spill, Sebadoh, and a variety of other artists pushing the envelope within the realm of indie rock in the new millennium. They issued a few 7" recordings before signing to Deep Elm and releasing Contents of Distraction in 2002. They released their first full-length, the well-received Funeral Car, in 2003 and appeared on a 3-way split with Sounds Like Violence and Settlefish the same year.
