Born as Jaime Garcia on May 4th 1983, Black Lungz developed his artistry initially through poetry. In his early adolescence he found it as a way to vent all emotions including his anger, frustration and sadness. During high school, he moved to Central Florida from the Bronx, and stumbled across a daily gathering of freestlylers at the back of the school. One day he figured out he had to try it, and all participants and bystanders were stunned. Words left his tongue like magic, and day by day, this gathering grew by the numbers.

His lyrical finesse is often compared to Twista, with a sense of humor like Eminem.
