WITH memorable melodies over funk-infused grooves and whimsical lyrics, Colin McKay has something to say. Sounds reminiscent of The Talking Heads, the presence of P-Funk and the zaniness of Frank Zappa are all swirled into songs that are quirky yet totally accessible. McKay has played in original and cover bands as a guitarist, singer and songwriter, but with this CD he presents his own vision. Working with producer/guitarist Tommy Osuna, a winner of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, meant that the proper vibrations n' sensations were captured on the recording for sure.
