P-27 (www.p-27.ch) is a rap crew from Basel, Switzerland and a local legend.

In 1992, P-27 released «Murder by Dialect» feat. Black Tiger on the Swiss compilation «Fresh Stuff 2», which made them the first band to put out a track with raps in Swiss-German. Thanks to a regular radio airplay, the sentence «y bin e Schpräyer, und y schpräy won y will» was copied and heard all over Switzerland. In the same year, P-27 released their first album «Overdose Funk» on Phonag and the single «Summerzyyt». With their debut, they made it to place 8 in the Swiss LP charts. Two years later, P-27 released their second album «Jetzt funkt's aa» on EMI, from which the singles «Run Baby Run!» and «Jetzt funkt's aa» were taken. With their particular mixture of rap, funk, jazz, rock and hip hop they set a new standard for Swiss rap crews. Read more on Last.fm.
