Born in Genova in 1964, Massimo Claus since his first years denotes a musical talent. He started to take private lessons and then, after school, he enrolled the conservatory N. Paganini in Genova, where he graduated with highest votes and two years in advance in classical guitar and composition. After the conservatory, he began his career as a session musician, job he already began during his studies, touring Italy with artists of like Umberto Bindi and Fabrizio De André, Dalla and De Piscopo, also working in collaboration with Franco Battiato on the album "L'era del cinghiale bianco"
